Discussion focusses on the importance of contextualising career theory to practice as well as the changing world of work, lifelong learning, career decision-making and development, and career guidance to the broader community.

This webinar was facilitated by Dr Jennifer Luke who provides a quick overview of a selection of theories with a focus on career development across the lifespan. Jennifer is a Careers & Employability Researcher at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, and the current CDAA Queensland Division.

Dr Deborah Munro then presents and leads a discussion on the use of Margaret Archer’s Critical Realist Theory of Reflexivity in career counselling, including practical tools for practice. Deborah is a lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology, teaching post-graduate and undergraduate classes in career education and trauma informed practice.
