Networking: Sports Community Evening, Career Development in Action

Please join the CDAA NSW Division in August for an evening of Networking and learning.

We spend our days helping other people move forward, but we do not always have enough opportunities to spend time in the same room as one another. This relaxed evening is a chance to change that.

Join the CDAA NSW Division and members of the broader sporting community for an evening of professional connection, practical learning and conversation. The event will bring together career development practitioners, education and wellbeing professionals, coaches, program leaders, athletes and others involved in supporting people within high-performance sport.

This will not simply be an evening of presentations. Attendees will have the opportunity to see how career development, education and transition support are applied in practice with elite athletes. Speakers and panellists from across the sporting codes will share their experiences, approaches and insights, with plenty of time for questions and informal conversation over nibbles and drinks.

You do not need to work in sport to benefit from this event. The approaches used to support athletes through career decision-making, education, transitions, identity changes and life beyond competition can translate to many different career development settings.

Come along to:

  • see career development practice applied within a high-performance environment
  • hear from professionals and stakeholders working across the sporting sector
  • explore ideas that can be adapted for your own clients and practice
  • build connections with CDAA members and the wider career, education and sporting communities.

CDAA NSW Committee Member Ryan Gonsalves has brought together a panel of experienced sporting professionals and stakeholders. The final speaker line-up will be announced ahead of the event.

Bring a colleague, fellow CDAA member or someone working in the sporting community who would value the opportunity to connect and learn.
