Commitment to Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging

Career Development Association Australia (CDAA) is a vibrant and professional membership Association, committed to supporting all Australians at all stages of their working lives.  Our mission is to support each other in developing and improving delivery of equitable access for all Australians to individually appropriate career services.

CDAA aspires to create a diverse and inclusive environment where members, staff, volunteers, committee members, leadership groups and external partners are respected and have a sense of belonging. CDAA values the richness of work and life experiences that each of us bring to our Association.  We are also committed to driving equal opportunities across all Association activities regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, sexual identity, disability, or any other bias.

We will endeavour to place diversity, inclusion, belonging and equity at the forefront of every decision we make within our Association. Together we can build a more empowered and culturally diverse career development community that benefits us all.

Strategic Plan Towards 2026

CDAA – Towards 2026 is a strategic view of what the CDAA aims to undertake over the next 4 years. Our intention is to reflect the significant changing environment that CDAA members will navigate over this time and give consideration to how the CDAA should be structured and what services should be provided to best support members.

Governance

The Career Development Association Australia - CDAA (formerly Australian Association of Career Counsellors - AACA) is a member-service incorporated association registered in South Australia since February 1989.

The Association’s operations are governed by the CDAA Constitution and managed by a National Executive Committee elected from within the membership. It has Divisions in every state and territory which are run by member-elected Division Committees.
